I discussed this the other day in The Wistful Widow’s Support Group. Did you know that the male lion isn’t actually the one that hunts and kills prey? It’s the female lioness that does the hunting. The male lion will use his scary roar to scare the prey to run away from him and towards the female where she is waiting to attack! Satan is the male lion trying to make you feel fearful, alone and scared. The natural tendency is to run away from those feelings. Instead you need to run towards the “danger”, running away will only cause more pain and it will get harder if you ignore it! You also need to lean into the grief in order to feel the joy that God has waiting for you. I know it’s hard but I promise, if you lean into the grief, it will help you survive this!
