Losing your husband changes every part of life. Along with grief, you may find yourself carrying loneliness, anxiety, uncertainty, trauma, overwhelming emotions, or questions about your future and your faith.

In our coaching sessions, you’ll find a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space where you can process your experiences, explore what’s beneath your struggles, and discover practical steps toward healing and growth.

As a Certified Biblical Trauma Coach and widow myself, I combine trauma-informed coaching principles with a Christ-centered approach to help you better understand your emotions, grief, nervous system responses, relationships, and life transitions. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop healthy coping strategies, strengthen your connection with God, and uncover the resilience and wisdom He has already placed within you.

"My goal is not to fix you because you are not broken. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you gain clarity, find hope, and move forward with greater confidence, peace, and purpose."

My Approach

After loss, different parts of you can show up in different ways. One part may stay strong and keep everything together, while another feels angry, numb, anxious, or carries deep sadness and guilt. Using a gentle, IFS-informed approach, sometimes called “parts work,” we won’t push those feelings away or judge them. Instead, we’ll meet them with curiosity and compassion, listening to what your grief is trying to tell you and caring for the places inside that need to feel seen and heard.

For those who desire it, we can gently weave in faith, Scripture, and honest conversations with God, never to bypass your pain or force quick answers, but to let God meet you in the honest places, even the messy ones.

In our time together, you can expect:

  • A calm, compassionate space where you never have to perform or pretend
  • Gentle questions that help you understand your emotions and what’s happening inside you
  • Support as you process grief, without being rushed or judged
  • Faith-informed encouragement when you want it, never pressure or platitudes
  • Practical tools for steadying yourself through the hardest moments
  • A coach who understands widowhood personally and honors the fullness of your story

What Sessions Are Like

50 minutes · online · always at your pace

Our sessions are led by you. Some days we may process grief, emotions, or difficult memories; other days we might focus on identity, family, loneliness, faith questions, or simply taking small steps forward. There’s no script and nothing you have to prepare.

In the beginning, I usually recommend meeting weekly or twice a month, especially when grief feels fresh. As you begin to feel more steady, we can space sessions out, every other week, monthly, or as needed. There’s no timeline for grief, and we’ll move at whatever rhythm supports you best.

Words from fellow widows

“When my husband died, I was desperate to connect with someone who could relate to what I was going through as a new widow, and I needed help. You won’t regret all the help and advice Paula has to offer.”

“It has been good to speak to someone & share my feelings. God is good & His timing is perfect.”

A note about coaching: Biblical trauma coaching is not therapy, counseling, crisis care, or medical treatment, and I do not diagnose conditions or provide emergency support. If you are in crisis, feeling unsafe, or having thoughts of harming yourself, please call or text 988, contact emergency services, or reach out to a licensed mental health professional right away. Coaching can be a meaningful source of support as you process grief, build emotional awareness, reconnect with God, and take gentle steps toward healing.
